Josh is a native to the Charlotte area being born and raised in neighboring Harrisburg, NC. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.A. in Political Science, a minor in Economics and completed the University Honors Program. Mr. Costner then obtained his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law and opened Costner Law, PLLC in 2009.

When he’s not working with clients on their next closing, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife, Carmen, sons Rylan and Deacon, and twin daughters Violet and Scarlett. Josh also enjoys playing sports and heading to the beach whenever possible. You’re also likely to see Josh involved in local activities in the Charlotte and Cabarrus communities and in attendance on Sundays at Providence Baptist Church in Harrisburg.

Dan Portone was born and raised in the Charlotte area, leaving only to complete his undergraduate studies at UNC-Chapel Hill, and completing his law degree at Campbell University in Raleigh, where he graduated cum ladue in 2011.

Dan was admitted to the NC bar in 2011, and his practice has focused on residential and commercial real estate closings. Since starting with Costner Law Office in 2012, Dan has held many roles within the firm, beginning with title review and overseeing transactions from the time of contract to the closing table. Today, Dan’s primary role with the firm is oversight of the day-to-day operations of the firm.

In addition to his duties at the office, Dan also sits on the boards of the Mecklenburg County Bar Sports Committee and the Real Estate Lawyers Association of North Carolina. Through the MCB Sports Committee, Dan also serves as the league commissioner for the Bar’s attorney’s softball league.

Outside of work Dan can usually be found either on a ball field, or spending time with his wife and son.

A 2008 UNC-Charlotte Alumni and Political Science major, Lindsay joined The Costner Group team in 2010. Over the years Lindsay has operated in various areas of the Real Estate closing process and enjoys the knowledge that comes with being cross-trained to help new staff members as well as step in as needed.

Currently Lindsay focuses on managing company needs in HR, Payroll, marketing as well as a broad spectrum of daily company business planning and operations as a member of the Executive Staff. Lindsay enjoys planning fun company events, boosting and radiating the Costner Law brand and culture across all markets and helping coach team members.

When not in the office Lindsay lives with her husband (and college sweetheart, thanks UNCC!), Tyler; daughter, Maddie; son, Wyatt and German Shepherd, Odin.

Ashley was born and raised in Rocky Mount, NC. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts in History and moved to Charlotte in 2003 when she married her husband, Scott. Ashley taught History in local Charlotte area schools for 8 years prior to obtaining her JD and joining Costner Law in 2016.

When not attending closings or helping clients, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family. If she can find any free time, she likse to read regularly and find new TV series to binge watch.
